Doing it yourself

Using the Sidney transfer station yourself

  • The Sidney Transfer Station is at 98 Public Works Center and is open Friday through Sunday. Transfer station hours and rules →
  • Couches, chairs, mattresses, box springs and freon appliances each carry a fee. You buy those permits at the Town Office on Middle Road before you go, not at the station.
  • Construction debris is priced by the size of your truck bed or trailer.
  • The station doesn’t take brush, leaves, trees or stumps. The town’s advice is to compost them or get a burn permit.
